CSI Madurai- Ramnadu Diocese Engages in Relief Work During the Lockdown Due to COVID 19 Communication

Madurai- Ramnadu Diocese has been doing relief work in the lockdown due to COVID 19 in the rural areas of the diocese. The diocesan leadership provides food kits and other materials to the needy. The Diocesan Bishop gives leadership.

On behalf of the Periyakulam North and Periyakulam West CSI Churches, help was extended to the sanitary workers and health workers. CSI Usilampatti Congregation gave rice and other provisions to the needy church members. Under the leadership of Madurai Kaimedu Abhisheganathar CSI Church, Food kits were distributed.

CSI Cathedral Parish provided provisions for food to the needy and the poor. The Holy Immanuel Church in Aruppukottai, Men's Fellowship donated Rice, Dal, Oil & Vegetables for 100 needy families on 05.04.2020 Sunday. Aruppukottai Town Law and Order Police Inspector Mr Balamurugan and Men's Fellowship members participated in this program.

CSI Diocese of Madurai-Ramnad donated 2500 Medical Masks and 100 hand sanitizers to Madurai Collector office.

Christian Mission Hospital in Madurai under the auspices of the Madurai Ramnad Diocese handed over an isolation ward prepared for the COVID 19 patients to the government authorities.

The Diocese and local congregations are continuing with the relief work in a commendable manner.
