CSI SEVA, conducted a day's event awareness program and celebrated TRANS VISION 2019. CSI SEVA

Thoothukudi- Nazareth Diocese Socio welfare Department have been engaging with the Transgender communities along with CSI SEVA, conducted a day's event awareness program and celebrated TRANS VISION 2019.

This program in solidarity with the Transgender community was focused on an audit of listening to their concerns to see how the church can intervene in more sustainable manner.
As a first step towards this “TRANS Awareness” program with the students in Thoothukudi Diocese in 3 Arts& Science Colleges in different places Nazareth, Sawyerpuram & Thoothukudi, for 350 students & staff has been envisaged in the near future.

Apart from these initiatives this one-day program addressed the social, health livelihood issues of the TGs.
Thoothukudi- Nazareth Diocese Social Welfare Department continued working with 120 transgenders for past 10 years for the development and good status for transgender in the society.

The Bishop Rt Rev SEC Devasahayam inaugurated this new project and gave away gifts as celebrating Christmas with them. CSI SEVA Director in Charge Rev Solomon Paul was present who brought felicitations and greetings to the transgender community.
