Every CSI Member Should Plant a Sapling Every Year and Stop the Ecological Imbalance Ecological Concerns

“Every CSI member should plant a sapling every year and stop the ecological imbalance of the earth”, exhorted Bishop Timothy Ravinder while delivering the keynote address in the ‘Young Theologians Conference’ on ecological concerns held at CSI Retreat Centre, Yelagiri Hills in Vellore Diocese from 28th to 30th January 2019. As it is a mission mandate of CSI, we should have a commitment to Green India, the bishop added. Rev. Dr. Chilkuri Vasantha Rao; the Principal of UTC, Bengaluru, Rev. Joseph Samuel; former Professor of KUTS, Rev. Iniyan Joshua, Rev. J. Vedamuth, Rev. Jerin Sester and Rev. Jayasingh presented eco-perspectives of various biblical passages. Rev. Iniyan Joshua, Rev. J Vedamuth, Rev. Jerin Sester and Rev. Jayasingh were the participants of Earth Bible Sermons workshops conducted by CSI Synod Department of Ecological Concerns. Now the department is proud to present them as Resource persons. Ninety-eight young theologians from various dioceses and Theological Colleges participated. Rt. Rev. Timothy Ravinder, Moderator’s Commissary to Vellore Diocese, Rev. Sampath Sadhanandam; Secretary of the Diocese, Rev. Paul Robert Kennedy, Rev. Jared I Reuban, Rev. C. Manimaran, Mr. D. Charles and Rev. Simon did all the arrangements for the success of the programme.
