Chennai: CSI Synod Mission Board has conducted at CSI Synod Centre on 29th October 2018. The Rt. Rev. Dr. J.J. Christdoss, Chairman for the Department of Mission and Evangelism, CSI Synod has presided over the meeting. Board, after met necessary formalities, discussed about the future programs and decided that 2019 will be the year of festival in synod level, Regional Level and Diocesan Level. Furthermore, Board has approved the 2017-2022 Mission Agendas and entrusted the Synod Mission Director to implement it in timely manner. Moreover, Board has decided to make political consciousness among the congregations to act and react responsively amid political as well as social dilemmas. Board Members have presented the Mission report of their respective Dioceses.
There was a highlight committee to highlight the messages of Inaugural Address as well as Key Note Address. Rev. Jacob George, Mission Director in Madhya Kerala Diocese, Rev. Sebastian Jethna, Mission Director in Karnataka Southern Diocese, Rev. Pon Prabhakar, Mission Director in Madhurai-Ramnad Diocese and Rev. A. P. Johnson, Mission Director in Nadyal Diocese have served as Highlight Committee Members. They have presented the highlights of Moderators and General Secretary’s Address based on “The Hour Has Come to Arise and Act for God’s Oikumene”. In this concern, Board decided to organize meaningful and creative Training Programs, Conferences, Retreats, Gatherings, and Seminars for the Missionaries and Evangelists to empower and equip them to address the correct issues and act accordingly for the radical transformation of the whole community.
