The Department of Mission and Evangelism of the Church of South India (CSI) Synod has participated in the Christmas gathering of Global Missionary Society (GMS) in Thoothukudi- Nazareth Diocese on the 12th December 2020 at Kristhu Kula Ashram, Tirupattur. The meeting was organized by GMS under the leadership of Rev. K. Edwin Daniel, General Secretary along with Mr Arputha Raj, GMS Mission Coordinator. It was an opportunity to celebrate the Christmas joy even in the midst of severe pandemic COVID 19. Rev. Maxcin John delivered a Christmas Message based on Matthew 1: 18-25. He reminded that Christmas is the celebration of joy to all. Moreover, it is the restoration of relationship and fellowship between God and humanity and the rest of the creation. It is the time to take the decision to restore, build, and rebuild the relationship based on the gospel of Jesus Christ, he added. One-hundred and twenty missionaries attended the gathering. There was sharing of Christmas gifts to each other. This gathering was the time of mutual fellowship and association.
