Dedication of the staff quarters and the renovated swimming pool Karnataka Central

Joshua 24:15 - As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

The Thanksgiving service for the dedication of the staff quarters and renovation of the swimming pool was held on 19th December, 2020 and was conducted by Rev.Dr.Vincent Vinod Kumar, Presbyter-in-charge, St.Mark’s Cathedral and Member of the Board of Management. The occasion was graced by the presence of Rt.Rev.Dr.P K Samuel, Bishop, CSI- KCD; Rev.Paul Dhanasegaran, Diocesan Secretary, CSI-KCD and Vice Chairman of the Board of Management; Rev. George Jayaprabhu, Associate Treasurer, CSI-KCD; Prof.Esther Prasana, president CSI Women’s fellowship and President of CSI-KCD Women's fellowship and Members of the board of management.

The service commenced with the Principal, Dr.Mrs.Lavanya Mithran, presenting the newly constructed staff quarters to the Bishop, Rt.Rev.Dr. P K Samuel for dedication to the Glory of the Almighty God and in preparation for the service of God’s people.

The Bishop led the prayer of dedication, unveiled the plaque and dedicated the staff quarters.

The staff quarters has been built to provide accommodation for the essential maintenance staff of the school , which consists of a one bedroom apartment, on the ground and first floor, respectively. Rev.Paul Dhanasegaran, offered the prayer for the ground floor. Prof.Esther Prasana, dedicated the first floor by cutting the ribbon and Mr. E J H Vailshery, Treasurer, Board of management, offered the prayer for the first floor, seeking God’s presence, love, peace and favour on all who enter the premises.

We thanked Mr Sateesh, Technical Consultant for all his assistance in completing this project. We also thanked the Contractor Mr Daniel Pratap who was able to complete it in time.

The Founder’s hymn was sung in remembrance of this 155-year old great institution.

Prayer at the swimming pool

The swimming pool is one of the many facilities provided at Bishop Cotton Girls’ school, to enable the students to develop life skills. The existing swimming pool was renovated with heating facilities to provide the students with a conducive environment to learn swimming.

The Bishop dedicated the new heating system and Rev.George Jayaprabhu, offered the prayer seeking God’s blessings for the swimming pool so that it will be a safe haven for all those who wish to learn swimming and wisdom for the coaches as they impart life-saving skills.

The service concluded with a prayer by Rev.Christy Rajkumar M, Area Chairman-Civil and Member of the Board of Management. The Bishop pronounced the Benediction.
